1: Departure |
Today we begin our
journey to the other side of the world. Crossing the International
Date Line, we “lose” a day on the way over. |

2: Arrival in Bangkok, Thailand |
We
arrive late in the evening and transfer to our hotel for the
night. |
Day
3: Arrival in Nepal |
We catch our first glimpse of
the Great Himalayan mountain peaks on our morning flight into
the capital city of Nepal. After an hour’s drive, we
arrive at your hotel in Nagarkot—complete with majestic
views of the Mt. Everest Himalayan range. After an introduction
to Nepal from our tour guide, we can enjoy the beautiful scenery
on an evening walk. |
Day
4: Nagarkot |
We will begin our day with a
panoramic view of the Mt. Everest Himalayan range, followed
by a variety of sightseeing activities, hiking, and enjoying
the beautiful mountain scenery. |
Day
5: Drive to Chitwan |
Awaken to a spectacular sunrise
view of the Himalayan mountains. After breakfast, we will
travel to the southern lowlands of Nepal, near the border
of India. Here we will stay at a jungle lodge in the Royal
Chitwan National Park. |
Day
6: Chitwan National Park |
One of today’s highlights
will be an early morning safari ride through the jungle atop
an elephant where we can spot rhinos, wild boar, deer, monkeys,
an amazing variety of birds, and many other kinds of wildlife.
A variety of other tours and activities throughout the day
are sure to make our stay in the jungle a memorable one. |
Day
7: Gorkha |
We will journey along scenic
river gorges and catch a glimpse of village life in Nepal
on our way to Gorkha, a historic region of Nepal. Here we
will tour a palace of the first king who conquered what is
present-day Nepal and unified it as one country. Along the
way we will stop to see an ancient Hindu temple and catch
a birds-eye view of the beautiful, terraced hillsides from
a cable car. |
Day 8: Drive
to Pokhara |
Our drive to Pokhara will be
surrounded by picturesque views of terraced rice fields on
Nepal’s middle hills with the Himalayan mountains on
the background if weather permits. |
Days 9-10:
Pokhara |
You won’t want to miss
the breathtaking view of the Annapurna Himalayan range at
sunrise! A variety of sightseeing tours and possibilities
await us: Hikes to caves, waterfalls, and beautiful lakes,
exploring the shops and vendors in the streets of Pokhara,
and enjoying dinner at a lakeside restaurant with the Himalayan
peaks in the distance are just a few of the attractions. |
Day 11: Fly
to Kathmandu |
After our flight back to Kathmandu,
the rest of the day will be spent visiting points of interest
such as a
Hindu temple, a Buddhist stupa, and the king’s palace.

Day 12: Kathmandu
|
We will have a day to explore
the city of Kathmandu at leisure, purchase souvenirs, or take
an optional aerial sightseeing tour of Mt. Everest. |
Day 13: Fly
to Thailand |
An early afternoon flight will
take us back to Bangkok where we can relax or do a little
sightseeing. |
Day 14: Home
|
An early morning flight will
take us back across the International Date Line to arrive
home in the evening. |
