Trekking
through Sherpa country, cultivated fields and small villages, the
trail to Everest follows the footsteps of the great climbing parties
attempting to summit the mighty Everest (8,848 m).
The scenery above the tree line is stark but spectacular and the incredible
monastery at Tengboche is a photographer’s paradise. It is the
highlight of the trek, set against the backdrop of Ama Dablam, Everest
and other huge snowcapped peaks.
With time for acclimatization enroute our goal is Everest Base Camp
on the Khumbu glacier and the opportunity to climb Kala Patthar (5545m)
for a breathtaking view of Everest and one of the greatest mountain
views on earth. |
